How A Toy Rental Company Automated Bookings Across Four Cities With BookX

JusPlay is a toy rental company founded in Gurgaon, India, in 2022 by Neha Goel, a former corporate professional who quit her job to build something that makes every parent and child happy. They rent big toys like slides, trampolines, ride-on cars, and playhouses so parents don't have to buy toys their kids need for only a few weeks. 

The Challenge

For more than two years, JusPlay ran entirely on WhatsApp. But as JusPlay expanded into multiple cities, the manual system became impossible to maintain. 

Three problems made it hard for them:

Multi-location complexity

JusPlay delivered to four cities: Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida, and New Gurgaon. Each city has its own delivery team and its own day when the truck runs. Toys cannot be delivered beyond those days.

Location-specific booking days

Every city only accepts bookings on specific days because every booking day maps directly to a delivery route day. 

If a customer in Gurgaon books a 7-day rental on Tuesday, the toy returns the following Tuesday when the truck is already in that zone. 14 days means two Tuesdays later.

Overbooking risk

Without a real-time calendar, the same toy would be booked by two customers at the same time. So, they tried finding a Shopify booking to solve it.

The Solution

JusPlay installed BookX, and the team helped them with setting up return date logic, location-specific availability, and managing double bookings. 

What came out of those conversations is now a permanent feature of BookX available to any rental business with complex location logic.

Location-aware booking days

Each zone has its own start dates. A customer in Delhi only sees Monday and Friday. A customer in Gurgaon sees four options. Nobody ever sees a date that can't actually be fulfilled.

Automatic return date calculation

Customers can choose 7 or 14 days. BookX calculates the exact return date automatically based on the location and start day selected.

Real-time capacity blocking

The moment a toy is rented, it disappears from the calendar so there is no possibility for double-booking.
